School Meals & Healthy Living
We encourage our pupils to bring healthy snacks each day or purchase fresh fruit and vegetables from the ‘Tasty Tuck Shop’.
We do not allow sweets, crisps or fizzy drinks. Milk is available to Foundation Phase classes (Ages 3-7) and all pupils are encouraged to drink water throughout the day, bringing their own water bottles from home.
For lunch, a wide variety of nutritious meals are cooked on the premises. The school meals service operates a healthy eating policy, which is reflected in the menus offered. Pupils are also welcome to bring a healthy lunchbox to school. We cater for a wide range of allergies and intolerances. Please ensure you advise the office on any allergies or intolerances that your child may have. Please note that we are a nut free school.
School Meals
We offer health-conscious hot school meals, provided by Carmarthenshire Catering Service. School meals are FREE but must be pre-booked using ParentPay. A packed lunch provided by the home is an alternative to school meals. Pupils can select to have a school meal on certain days and packed lunch on others if preferred.
ParentPay
This online payment system is in place to manage trips, consent and pre-ordering school lunch service. When your child(ren) start school, you will be asked to set up a ParentPay account using an activation code which will be supplied in your child’s starter pack. Once you have activated your new account, you will then be able to use your account to pay for school related payments.
Free School Meals
Pupils who are eligible for free school meals are entitled to a two-course hot school meal every day. Families who are currently paying for school meals will save over £480 a year for each child. You will also be entitled to access a school uniform and equipment grant which will support your children when they are in Reception, Year 3, Year 7 and Year 10
